As a forward-looking leader, Nagel has over two decades of experience in information assurance and cybersecurity, steering cyber innovations in the federal and defense mission areas. A U.S. Air Force and FBI veteran, Nagel founded Avint in 2018. Since then, she has grown the firm rapidly, delivering advanced cybersecurity solutions in classified technology environments to federal agencies facing the risk of threats to their IT systems security.
Before launching Avint, Nagel served as the principal and leader of Booz Allen Hamilton’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation division. In this role, she managed a dynamic team of 170 geographically dispersed cybersecurity experts, engineers and support staff to deliver CDM solutions across 13 government agencies and departments. Earlier, she served as the vice president of cybersecurity programs for VariQ corporation. Prior to entering the private sector, Nagel served for eight years at the FBI, including the IT Security Manager in the Office of Special Technology. During her military service, Nagel led information assurance programs within the Air Force Pentagon Communications Agency and overseas.
